Start at wave beginning for long files

Hello Abletonians, I work a lot with long (song)files and I'm not really pleased how autoworp handles them and 'detect' the beginning of a file. Wishes: 1) Melodyne has a function "Set Bar 1 to Start of File", I think that would be very convenient in Live too... :) 2) A function "Dele...

Ska-jazz with sultry female vox from Portonova

Please listen to and comment a new song from my band Portonova on Soundcloud. We're playing jazz with all kind of influences: ska, hiphop, house. 'Gonna See My Baby' is skajazz, based on an AABA-jazz chord scheme. The song started as a sketch in Ableton Live. Drums were recorded on location using a ...

Hey Portunderground,

Thanks for your kind comment. Really appreciate. :)

Sax, drums, vocals, guitars and scratches were recorded. I've programmed the bass and Rhodes Piano.

Kind regards,

Re: Live8 crashes when opening 1 set, another is unable to save

Did you get any response on this. I'm having the same problems. Upgraded from 7 to 8. I'm unable to save a set from a musical partner. "This Set contains features that are limited or unavailable in Live 8. Details: The Corpus effect is not available. You can use this Live Set but you will not b...

Re: Where are the new presets

Oké, I've installed the big file but still don't see any presets for the new effects: vocoder, limiter etc. The old are still there. Any clue, can someone send me the presets, or aren't there any?

Where are the new presets

Hello Abletonians,

Just upgraded from Live 7 to 8. I've used the smaller, program only download.

But now I'm missing the presets from the new effects and instruments (vocoder, limiter etc.)
Does anyone know howe to get them?

BTW What's in the bigger download? I don't own Suite.

I use a Line6 POD2 to get the guitar into my computer. So easy and sounds great:

Thanx for your replies.

I think the scheme of EX is brilliant. I was expecting a new release beginning 2011.

Re: Harware Samplers - anyone still rock them?

I've bought a Yamaha A3000 v2 in 1998. Sold it in 2004 and got it back in 2007. Yes, it has its own charm and sound. But it's too much work. Software samplers and DAWS work so much faster. I won't sell it again but rarely use it. My main DAW's are Cubase and Live with softsynths and Halion3. But I'v...

Re: Surprise crackles during performance

I use Live a lot live. In my experience it's starting with crackles if your laptop too long on (stand by or busy). A friend said something about memory getting full.

So if I play live. I turn the laptop on to test it and then swith it off until a few minutes before performing.
