Re: Puzzling issue - anyone know what's up?!

When you take a look at Console while Ableton Live is slow, do you see the whole log filled with messages likes this one? 20.09.15 17:20:07,429 Live[661]: assertion failed: 14F27: libxpc.dylib + 33325 [5C829202-962E-3744-8B50-00D38CC88E84]: 0x13 20.09.15 17:20:07,435 Live[661]: assertion failed: 14...

Best practices for installing Live to swap computers?

Hey all, Been searching a bit, but not finding anything so pardon me if this is redundant. :) I'm wondering how I might best install Live in such a way that all but the absolute core is on the computer itself, and the rest (sounds, instruments, whatever) is on a portable drive. I have an iMac in my ...

Not on my iMac, hitting the power button sends it to sleep.
That's because you have this option enabled in System Preferences.

What's your background, anyway?

I've tracked the iPad from the headphone jack, it sounds fine.

Re: So last week I Purchased Ableton Suite...

Seriously late to the party, but...

Racks. To put it simply - Holy Sh!t!! I understood the concepts but I'd never really delved into them before. Actually, I've only recently REALLY started getting deeply into Live. Even though I've had it since v6, I'd really just scratched the surface using it for basic arranging. (Not muc...

Re: how do I make my tinny mix sound like Dark SIde of the Moon?

To be fair, DSOTM used loops too - they just had to do it with tape. But, to the OP: I think your main issue is source-related. The ideas are fine, but the sounds seem a bit sterile. I guess it came that way, then. Funny. (There's definitely no mistaking the T-Pain-esque glitching on it...)
