So, can I map more than 8 macro controls? I'm doing DMX lighting, and some of the fixtures have as many as 41 channels. Is 8 the limit, or is there a simple workaround for more macro controls?
Thanks!

Problem with loopMIDI
I'm trying to use loopMIDI as a virtual MIDI connection between Live and Arkaos VJ.
However, I'm getting a "teVirtualMIDI32.dll and teVirtualMIDI.sys driver differ in version!" error.
Any help appreciated!

Re: Using Link via Ethernet cable
I'm not syncing, but simply passing MIDI notes and CC curves to a VJ program on a second laptop.
I'll try without a hub and see what happens.

Re: Launch clips in session view in sync w/ arrangement position
How I switch between tracks is fairly easy. By default all my tracks (in arrangement view) are deactivated. When a track on the master deck of the CDJ is started, a midi note is triggered to activate the track. When the track stops, the same note is sent again to deactivate the track again. I want ...

Re: MIDI-mapping notes without a keyboard
OK... so I figured this out 11 years ago (as hambone1).
Now I can't get this to work in Live 9, using loopMIDI for the MIDI feedback.
Anyone else get this to work?

"Tweaking" audio for best audio-to-MIDI conversion?
I'm trying to transcribe isolated bass guitar tracks into MIDI to be imported into Guitar Pro. I didn't have much luck with Live's audio-to-MIDI feature, so I'm trying Anthem Score, which is doing a much better job. However, as bass guitar is often "organic" with string noise, variable att...

Re: Light-Regulation via Midi to DMX-Control
I had 29 DMX lighting fixtures, Arkaos video, and remote pan/tilt/zoom cameras running on Live control. I kept the timing tight by using quantized CC curves. I manually drew a library of different quantizations and shapes, and used different curves for different effects and tempos. Once you make a l...

No matter how hard I try not to, I always go back to 70s disco.

Re: Projector for live performance
I'm looking at new projectors. I prefer rear-projection with a short-throw lens. It allows me to get the projectors away from the crowd. Of interest to me are the new LED/laser light-source projectors. The Casio projectors use LED for red and blue, and laser for green. No bulbs, and 20,000 hours MTB...

Re: Midi Controling Everything?
Live MIDI can be used to control all things DMX, and it can be incredibly powerful. No Max required. I had 29 DMX fixtures (including fog, laser, strobes, scanners, washes, spots, etc) all under Live MIDI control. All it takes is a MIDI>DMX hardware interface. MIDI-controlled video is powerful, too....
