Re: Recording at 96/192 bit rate, preserve when import to 48k
When importing your 96khz file in a 48khz project, turn off warp and set the pitch to -12 semitones on the sample. This will make it twice as long and an octave lower.

Re: Vitamin L: 100+ shortcuts to speed up your workflow (a lot).
Hi, does anyone have an idea on using the scroll mouse to zoom in and out in Ableton 9's arrangement view using Windows 64? I see posts dating back to 2006, hard to believe Ableton did not implement this simple yet critical function. Can anyone who might know how to do this in Live9 please let shed...

Re: Can't import video in Live 9.1
Had the same problem. Couldn't figure it out for months... Had some workarounds, but then I installed this codec: http://corecodec.com/products/coreavc and haven't had any video-related crashes since!

Re: Rewind fast-forward through remote control in Arrange view
On Windows (7 x64) the UserConfiguration.txt is located in: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\Live 9.0.6\Preferences\User Remote Scripts I'm looking for the same scrollwheel functionality in the timeline. Would be nice to zoom in and out as well with an encoder or fader. Have you (or anyone ...

Re: 64-bit Live, Windows 7 and video, anyone?
Same problem here. What has worked for me: load the same project in the 32-bit version of Live 9. Or you can create a new project (64bit), load the video file, and then go to browser of Live 9, load all the instruments and tracks from the project into the new project. However, for me there would sti...

Live 9 crashes when importing video
Live (currently using 9.0.4)is always crashing when importing videos in projects that I've already been working on.
If I start a new project and import the video it works just fine.
Does anybody else have this problem?
I'm on Windows 7 x64 with 16gb RAM and running Live in 64bit.

Linear time markers
I do a lot of scoring for videos in Ableton, and use the markers all the time. However, when I change the tempo for (part of) the project, the markers change with the tempo. I would like a feature where the markers stay where they are in relation to time. (obviously you should be able to turn it on ...

I always find myself cutting and transposing samples in the arrangement mode, but there is no possibility for me (besides bouncing) to pull it back into the session view for further playing around kinda stuff. Actually, there is. When you are done editing, select all the audio snippets, and click C...

Thanks for the reply's. I've tried to convert to WMV, but Windows Media Encoder gives me all kinds of errors. I also used the H264 codec (in Ableton Live, since the product is finished, I dont need to edit anything more), but I get a filesize of 360 mb for an 8 minute long movie. If it's possible, I...

Exporting Video
I recently started working on a project with video involved, and sooner or later, I am going to have to export it. Unfortunately, I don't really know much about video codecs and all that. I noticed that there was no codec for divx or xvid, which seem to be good codecs (and also the only ones i have ...

Tips on arrangement
I have always liked the workflow of live's Session view. It's very innovative and when you start to get it, you dont wan to go back to other sequencers. But lately I have been starting quite a lot of new tracks, and working out the ideas has been great. However, I always got stuck on the arrangement...

I thought you could only use ctrl+E in the arrange window, and it looks to me like he's in session view. It's the second part of the movie I'm after. (The first part was great too, but I know how to do that now :) ). Anyways, anybody know a solution for this? Although when I assign a midi-slider to ...

I have been a pleased Kontrol49 user for about a year now. This controller is awesome. I didnt know anything about native mode untill I read this topic. If this really is as great as everyone says it is, it would be a great thing to add to the Live 6 wishlist. Do any of you know if Ableton are worki...

Thanks for the reply's, I tried that and it did work pretty well. Although when I assign a midi-slider to Loop position, I can only switch between full measures (like 1 0 0 to 2 0 0), and what I'd like to be able to do is switch from 1 1 1 to 1 1 2 for example. Also about that movie. I just watched ...
