same problems on 8.2.6 and 8.2.5 - crashing all the time...
ive gone back to 8.2.2 which is more stable but not without its problems... (doesnt crash as much)
Ableton is the most unstable DAW, thats for sure

it sux we don't get replies for this around here i get several crashes a day for all kinds of reason :x it's a good thing i use Reaper to mix when i'm done writing. it's stable as the rock of gibraltar. can't ever imagine mixing in Live i NEVER get replies on here... or at least it seems that way.....

from what I can gather the MP4 files will almost for sure be copyright protected and to "bypass" the security to convert to another format is illegal, it is against forum regulations to give out advice on how to do such things publicly on the forum (usually anyway..not 100% sure about this...

I recently upgraded from 8.2.2 to 8.2.6 and since doing so I seem to be having more crashes than ever... definitley every day/session - one night I had 5 crashes... it seemed to be when playing notes on a VST and changing parameter during playing the notes that it didnt like it and would crash... bu...

Norton HAS cleaned up their software a bit lately so it's not quite as bad as it once was but for a music PC Norton software is still rather bloated and will only use more resources than it should. Ableton wont install on win7 64-bit...?
Im trying to install Ableton on my 64-bit version of windows 7 - unfortunately when i run the installer nothing happens and windows becomes unresponsive - ive tried run as admin and in vista sp2 mode but same thing happens... i have to shutdown the laptop and sometimes that takes more than 10minutes...

Feeze / Bounce - what is it exactly?
can anyone explain these to me in lamens/noob terms?
I understand that bounce means to save a track as Audio so less CPU is use playing midi, soft synth and effects on that track - the track becomes an 'audio' track...
but how does FREEZE work exactly?
