Good survey IMO. Logical questions, leaves room open for your own input and most of all doesn't get inconsistent or leaves me in a "WTF?" mood :-)

For my thesis I'm currently trying to discover the profile of the bedroom artist. I made a little survey to better understand the artists in the digital era and I need musicians/producers/sounddesigners/singers etc. to fill it in.
There're just 10 questions in there so this won't take more than 5 ...

Good question, i asked something similar once, the response was to send the whole stereo mix. Don't listen to me though, I'm interested in what the professionals got to say.

I see that only a few use Reason/Record next to ableton.
The only thing i really miss in reason/record is a better mastering suite. I suspect it to be updated with the next versions though.

For my thesis I'm currently creating a survey and I want to find out what kind of music apps bedroom musicians use; just to have a good idea on what people use next to or with Ableton. I'm sorry, it's a pretty boring question but I'm interested in the answers!

Wow, are you even making music when your using a tool like that? Just randomly slapping the keyboard and hitting no false notes? It's a neat feature though, but I can live without it.

By the way, does ableton have any great synths or do you really need to use vsti to get good results.

I have Reason 5 and record 1.5 and I definitely recommend it. I don't have ableton live though, that's why I'm scanning the forums to see what people do and think about it.
