Firewire Support and Latency Issues

I am currentley teaching myself to use Ableton Live for live performances conducted through a laptop. I want to eliminate any latency possible, so I imagine that I should be looking towards firewire support. Does anyone have any suggestions for a go-between from the controller into the firewire port...

Very nice set-up, there is no reason to go over the top - but this unit is definately stream lined for playing Live live.

Trying to pull vocals out of a track. What I have been doing is taking a measure without the vocal, inverting the sound in Soundforge, and then pasting the inverted sound atop the measure containing the vocal. The Live manual states that "in order to set Live up for cueing, you must be using an audio interface with at least two dedicated stereo out puts." When I am trying to set up a cue then, do I need to have two seperate soundcards? One dedicated to master out and the other designated for cue...
