Re: Happy Synthsgiving From NI

The question for me is...

Do I take 99EUR out of the M4L kitty for Reaktor? I know M4L is more integrated into Live, however Reaktor would work in Logic as well, and I always hear good things about the user library.

Anyone own (and use) both?

I wonder if R6 is coming out soon?

Re: Max4Live released soon? New video uploaded by AbletonInc

hi, i think you have it wrong. it's OBVIOUS that the BIT DEPTH is the amount of DISCRETE LEVELS which the audio can quantize to once it crosses the ADC circuitry. THEREFORE there can only be 16 LEVELS which your audio can be QUANTIZED to, because the 32 bit audio is 16 bit per channel. so as there ...

Re: Max4Live released soon? New video uploaded by AbletonInc

leonard: The number of bits used by an ADC is related to the number of discrete steps it can resolve, however it relates to the binary representation of a signal level. For example: 16 bit = 2^16 = 65536 steps 32 bit = 2^32 = 4294967296 steps 64 bit = 2^64 = 1.844674407370955x10^19 steps 16 discrete...

Re: Jasuto promotional giveaway!

Seriously, code or no code, just buy it! It's worth 10 time the cost. (or More) I know, I was simply being greedy!! The price increase put me off initially. At first I thought it was an error since there was no indication that it was going to happen or had happened. At the time I first learnt about...

I've always been happy going to digital village, well the birmingham branch to be exact. Down to earth and not pushy.

Mac port should arrive fairly soon - its in the final stages of beta testing.

There are a few quirks that are being worked on. Play list revamp is next main priority IIRC.

MPD24 is much newer and also has better pads. One of the primary complaints about the MPD16 was that the feel wasn't as good as the MPC pads.

Having said that I do own an MPD16 and I do really like it. You can pick them up for a bargain these days. But I would still like a nice new MPD24.

Re: Macbook or Macbook Pro

Be patent young padiwan, new apple laptops are imminent. Unfortunately they have been imminent for a long time, so this could mean MWSF - which isn't that close really. In addition you would the have the problem of Rev1 hardware, which is not always the best experience. If you want or need one now,...

You'll have to check this but I pretty sure that if you buy a mac now you'll get tiger and the option to buy a leopard disc at the cost of the media. That way you'll have a nice stable Tiger release and can safely upgrade to leopard when the inevitable bugs are ironed out.

Best of both worlds. :)

I remember reading in SOS about problems with MCE. I have never experienced any myself, but there were some reported by users. If you have a license for XP Pro then that is known rock solid, although if you have never seen any problems with MCE than that should be the same - IIRC the problems were d...

Do i want it? Do you want/need to program? If you do it is a great language to start with, I use it extensively. It can do pretty much anything - but isn't always the best choice. People are just sarcastic mate don't take offence. You asked a pretty random open ended question without any background...
