Logic does this in a very effective manner, with a button "Analyze" that will show the frequency overlapped over the EQ curve. Seems like it wouldn't be too difficult to incorporate.

What I do is route an 1/8 inch out of the headphone jack to a mixer to my audio interface (mbox 2), and set recording to in. Does this make sense?

I use only ableton for all hip-hop, or more properly folk hop. I think it's all about what you are most comfortable with. You can make almost any type of music with anything. There are ups and downs in everything.You can check it out at

Where do you find loops like that? Most of the loops in ableton are more techno based. I like that feel you have, is it straight from a record?

This is what I came up with. I am sure someone will do better.
Ableton already has a shortcut for Edit with Ctrl -E. than run two .ahk instances.

One that says
!w::Click 172,535

The other that says
!q::Click 464,643,2.

Then when you press ctrl E and hold ctrl then press w, then q. It will auto go ...

I had an idea where you could put a click track on one of your tracks, put a spectrum on it (if you have live 7), and enlarge the spectrum to whatever size you need. This should be a workaround until something better comes along. There may be some other free analyzers out there that would do ...

Has anybody made a script to toggle quantitize on and off?

My MPD 24 was fried after the 1.09 upgrade too. They said it was hardware, and I am going to have to send in in for repair. However, seeing as I will be out the shipping costs to send back a product that was rendered useless after an update that AKAI themselves created. Seems like poor customer ...

Sorry to contribute yet another query about the FCB 1010 but I have researched and researched and have been sucessful in getting the exp. pedals to work and even triggering a few scences, but it is all very chaotic and unorganized. I am not sure which patch is sending what and if the first 5 pedals ...
