I tried to drop a 2.44 GB wav file into Ableton. It wouldn't read it; said file was either corrupted or not licensed. Yet the file works in iTunes. Is the file too big to accept in Ableton?

Here's what I am experiencing:I have used midi instruments successfully (M-Audio Radium 61 Kybd controller and Akai LPD8 drum pads). So Today I get set to do some midi work and the control bar indicates midi input but the instrument shows none - except I can control parameters like volume, pitch etc...

I have made a loop. Now I want to jam with it and record. How do I set things up so my recording on a new track is continuous while the loop keeps playing. I just keep recording over my jam each time the loop re-loops.

Windows 7 recognized my UltraLite MK3, it is listed as a selection in Ableton's Audio Device chooser in Preferences. The CPU load says off and the message at the bottom of the Live window says 'The audio engine is of . . ." Aewbiie here so not understanding all of this.
