I haven't even been able to open up ONE project yet. This is obviously a move by Ableton to test stability of new features, since they didn't charge us for the new update... Imagine if they did charge us lol, there would be a major uproar.

I just upgraded to Live 8 Suite from Live 7 and when I am supposed to set my library, I see that I'm supposed to upgrade it and that this library might not be compatible with previous sets. Should I go ahead and set the library and upgrade it? or Should I do something else? It is quite important tha...

I don't have that option in Live 7's Look/Feel section of the preferences.

You know the thinner, quickview timeline at the top of either view (arrangement or session), how do I increase the vertical width of it?

I just use Launchpad to quickly trigger clips with drum patterns and record the results into arrangement for further processing. Especially since it's faster than midi mapping to keys or pads, it's an ideal solution to create crazy edits without moving the mouse or spend time mapping clips to midi. ...

Thanks for all the advice guys, my hunch was just estimating their typical schedule for releasing updates. Looks like 9 is further away than I previously thought. Also, I knew that 8 had problems but I didn't know it was that prevalent. I should've taken notice at NAMM when Live crashed at least onc...

i dunno.. there are alot of people who just upgrade from the bundled software with mid controllers n such... that and just the sheer popularity of Live has been unprecedented imo.. It's gotta be in the top 3.

while moving the circle dots hold command so you'll be able to get precise enough to get into whole digits instead of 128.93 you can get to 129 when holding command.
