Mute/solo is still not mapable in Live 6.
But it's not impossible and it doesn't require 8 midi tracks.

The midi effect racks are really flexible things. I've figured out how to work the mutes with 1 knob and 1 button (or 8 buttons if you prefer..)

What if you send Impulse to separate audio tracks and then mute/unmute these? Too much of a hassle?

I do the reverse - send seperate midi tracks to the Impulse, kick, hats etc. That way I can do the right kind of mutes I want - it doesn't sound good to unmute the audio of a kick ...

I'm quite certain now that these features are not in Live 6...
