I just bought Sugar Bytes Thesys and now use it together with Ableton Live.
It solves most of my issues

I can easily graphically draw modulation of my synths parameters (midi cc's) in a repeating loop
without things going wrong if i touch a button on the synth!

Maschine is not daw. If you can compare the two that'll mean you are noob.
