the sound quality shouldn't diminish
what you possibly have to look at the is the envelopes, particularly if there is attack as this will smear the transients. Also you might need to move the slice points a bit to ensure they strike at the perfect time.
the loop might have some time streching on ...

Adjusting the volume of preview without stopping it
Hello all,

This timing (delay compensation bug) in Live
Right after 18 months of using ableton it has decided to fuck up and my projects are falling out of time all over the place. I have always used complex routing solutions but suddenly now, even with 10 audio channels (albeit full stems) and a few plugs ins, it's drifting all over the place and makes ...

Re: Live + 3rd party plugins = FAIL
Would this be why sometimes when i have automated the filter cut off it is imperfect? Say i high pass the drumbuss before a drop before turning off the filter i often get a milisecond of unfiltered audio before the drop which makes it sound scruffy and kills the impact?

Groove Templates
Hello all.
One (of a number of things) that has baffled me about ableton is the groove function. I can swap in a groove from the groove pool, but rather than copying the groove wholesale (so across the piano roll) it just places all the notes onto one piano note. On Reason i could copy a groove ...

Scrolling through a track in the sample preview
I have Ableton set up on 2 PCs, on my laptop I am able to scroll through the previews by clicking along the wave form. This is useful as i ofetn preview 6 min+ tracks i have collected for sampling. However on my studio PC, I can't do this, I have gone through the options and I am sure they are set ...

Nocturn 25 Versus 25 SL MK2
I'm after a Midi Controller and I'm thinking about going for one of these.
However the older Nocturn is about £130 and the SL is around £240, which is quite a difference.
Does anyone have experience with both and have recommendations? or completely different recommendations?
I'm not that bothered ...

Re: LIVE 8 PERFORMANCE TEST - Results Here
@jamief - i see your point, i was very tempted by the imacs, they look great. however for £900 )including a 28" HD monitor) I got this performance. I also got a best in class heatsink and fan and extra large case which means I should be bale to comfortably overclock to 4ghz if i need too. (and ...
