I use up to 3 folders without any problem whatsoever. You could also save the plug-ins to their own rack and organize however you want in Live's library. I do that to keep them organized but also because I like to save my device parameter configuration (which parameters are visible to automation and what order they're in). I think it can only cope with one folder level - very annoying for some plugins that want to install a folder hierachy (RP verb, RP-delay etc). hmmm, strange. I'm using Void, a free synth VST plugin and it installed itself with an exe into that VstPlugin folder and it shows up in Ableton in a separ...

yeah, that makes sense, but I want to experimetn and try out a vast array of plug-ins and will eventually get rid of those that are of no interest to me.
