Re: loop device for djing
Hey! First I want to admit, that i'm from germany, so my english might be horrible sometimes. I'm sorry for this. yes, exactly, I'm using the keys/buttons (however) of my laptop with the letters on it. but i don't want to record the content of the clips. i want the device to set the start and end p...

Re: loop device for djing
hey! yes, that's quite exactly how it should work. for making the situation a little simpler i'm gonna explain my dj setup: I've got 4 virtual decks. every deck is one track in my set. i take every track i want to play from the browser and delete it if it is stopped. so there are never more than fo...

Re: loop device for djing
So you're looking for some sort of single-button automatic clip control. 1st press: begin grab 2nd press: stop grabbing and play/loop the grabbed segment 3rd press: delete segment (and wait for next press to begin grabbing) Ok. That is fine. Next question: Which clip should it control? I would sugge...

very funny. (slow clap) Here, this will include pitch and velocity and let you control the output channel as well. http://i.imgur.com/Pcf1fl.jpg ----------begin_max5_patcher---------- 840.3ocyX1saaBCEG+5To9Nf35LFFHA5taU6lJs8DLUE4.lVuB1HiIKcU6ce 9Cf.s.gjPRVuHN09vw+O+7wGaxa2dyLy0zsnbSiuX7SiYydSzyLUexd...

Re: What to do during 30 day trial?
* Definitely get the LOM explorer. good idea, it is great, but careful, the api can get overwhelming at first too. * Browse and download some stuff from the M4L library to see if anything interests you. Also, study them to see if you can learn a bit about how things work and see if you can get some...

Re: M4L and multithreading
I absolutely agree about the possible benefits. Just wanted to note that OSC between M4L devices introduces more latency than OSC between applications. The difference may be relevant or not depending on the actual situation. Does this mean that using Send/Receive/Forward is better than udpsend/udpr...

Re: Focus device in drum racks...?
Ohhh.. you need to be able to highlight individual parameters. Now I'm stumped too.JuanSOLO wrote:I've already tried using "call select_instrument"
It works to highlight the DrumRacks, but not nested samplers, that I can specify.

Re: UI Swapper (solved brilliantly by pid)
Noticed a tiny 'gotcha/bug' with the bpatcher.
When you create a new bpatcher and set the "open in presentation" flag, it may not seem to take effect until you save, close and reopen the patch.

Re: is there a way to get/set GUI values of device parameters?
I'm looking for a way to set parameters with the GUI value - e.g., send 2000 ms to the release parameter of an Operator envelope. Within Live you're free to input a value in ms, but in M4L it looks that it only accepts values in the range of 0..1, using some logarithmic scale I haven't sat down and...

Re: UI Swapper (solved brilliantly by pid)
however, to do it more simply and treat the bpatcher as a subpatch, all you have to do is make a new bpatcher, go straight to the inspector and tick "Embed Patcher in Parent". then, when you right-click the actual bpatcher you can choose 'object' > new view of..., and it just opens up its...
