yeah, sounds like PSP42 in combination with the soundbite xl (formally known as cycloops). note the repeating pattern of track 1 without the metallic feedback sound some way into the next track? that could be the soundbite... don't forget that PSP42 is quite expensive. play a bit with the demo. some...

@Toufas: he is using PSP42 - period! as boomklik just mentioned, stand behind him, watch and be amazed ;-). the reason why he can have the effect on one track only is because he can route every channel of his mixer to 3 different outputs. check out his website. one goes to the laptop running live (w...

positive on PSP42! the thing is that you need a combination of loop sampler and delay unit to create the "hawtin-effect". with PSP42 you can do that (and so does he!). a cheaper alternative would be augustusloop from expertsleepers (http://www.collective.co.uk/expertsleepers/augustusloop.html). plus...

OK, i got myself ms pinky and played around with it for an hour or 2. i'm sorry to say - but it sucks :-(. how on earth are you gonna use this in an on-stage situation??? the interface is designed so badly that you can't recognize anything (and that's only the visual part). selecting files from brow...

hey john!

this is interesting news. i was really looking for something to control clips in ableton the good old analog way. warping just drives me nuts :-). so just with pluggo as vst and ms pinky vinyl i could do this? than i would not need any torq software to begin with, right?

well, torq won't do you any good here 'cause re-wire ableton <-> torq sync only works in auto mode. that is exactly what nobody needs :-(. i'd be careful with torq anyway. i bought and returned it within 24 hours. nothing beats serato in terms of stability and user interface! but yeah - a link betwe...

Is the included USB interface required or can another soundcard be used? I'd really like to get rid of some cables around my Xone:3D

OK guys, I had the same problem... Serato does it right but there is a trick how to do this WITHOUT duplicating files. Try an iTunes script called "Alias Files to Folder" which you can find here:
http://www.dougscripts.com/itunes/
Works fine for me with iTunes 7, PowerBook G4 and Live 5.2.

Enjoy!
