Re: Cableguys Midishaper

This looks very usefull! So does that mean if I want a shaped LFO on let's say a filter cut-off in some device in Live, I just assign a Midi CC to it and then point Midishaper to that Midi CC?! All without the huge limtation of M4Ls LFO that you can't then control that filter cut-off via anything e...

Re: Cableguys Midishaper

Just wanted to let you know that we've just updated MidiShaper to version 1.4 . With the new version, MidiShaper's waveform editing sees many improvements and is now on par with our other plugins. Note: The idea behind MidiShaper is simple: Very flexible LFOs and envelopes that output MIDI pitchbend...

Re: LIVE 9 : PDC IMPROVED OR NOT ?

Also all time based fx in generel, 3rd party or native are not very well compensated if I remember corectly. this is the other issue... time based fx that have reference to the bar will be out of sync... i.e. if it's just using the BPM to set the delay time - fine. if you're trying to do trancegate...

Re: what soft synth should i buy?

Have a look at the new Curve 2 - it features an irresistible waveform editor plus a huge sound library and is very easy to use despite its many features.

Here's more info: http://www.cableguys.de/curve.html

And it is on offer right now, EUR 20/USD 30 off until November 1.

Re: LFO Type VST To Automate Parameters Outside A Synth

I've been diving head first into synthesis and I love the effects that are attainable with LFO's...so much so that I want to apply a similar effect to different parameters that are not in a synth. I'd like to be able to use them on drum racks/effects/audio tracks..Is there any VST's that will allow...

Re: Cableguys Midishaper

once again that's Live's fault. try recording MidiShaper's output to automation - say a basic sine lfo at 1/8. while recording, all looks good: http://i54.tinypic.com/rr8fw8.jpg stop recording, Live thins the data to this: http://i55.tinypic.com/148ln9x.jpg i tried meddling with the options.txt mid...

Re: Cableguys Midishaper

I just went to your web page and downloaded the demo, now i ask you, have you updated the link to the new version ? Sure. Is it not working for you? If not, does it not work at all, or does MidiShaper work fine in the beginning and stops then? Are you using the latest version of Live? (If so, you c...

Re: Cableguys Midishaper

We've just updated MidiShaper . The new version brings a bugfix update for its waveform drawing (most of all there were issues with Mac OS X Lion). Also, as said some posts ago, MidiShaper sometimes stops sending MIDI data to virtual MIDI ports. This is fixed now, we made sure that MidiShaper is now...

Re: Cableguys Midishaper

He just sends a midi packet (as in arbitrary data), I'm not sure what kind, in the background. Email Jim, I'm sure he'll explain it to you. He never publicly went into the fine details of the fix, just summarised it in the changelog. Edit: I just PM'd you a link to the changelog where he mentions i...

We are interested in all working workarounds too. What do you mean by sending a "packet"?

Re: Cableguys Midishaper

i just came across the lfos stopping running while trying the demo. shame. you say it's kind of a bug, have you reported it? surely having to add some low level noise to the channel for it to work shouldn't be necessary, should it? :? is this to do with Midishaper having to be an audio effect rathe...
