Converting track envelopes to clip envelopes?
I'm trying to convert track envelopes into clip envelopes. Is there a way to "print" track envelopes to clips, or do I have to redraw everything?

Re: Starting up
My main advice for getting started: START SIMPLE Don't dive off the deep end before you learn to swim. Wade into the pool. Learn the basics before you try to get fancy. Beware of Gear Acquisition Syndrome - the more gear and software you have, the more intimidating it is and the more you have to lea...

Re: noob question. what does tape delay do?
From my understanding, a tape delay effect is intended to be gritty and messy, since it replicates the old technique of creating delay effects using a tape recorder. This adds noise, timing errors and other imperfections to the delay. It's really good for adding depth and complexity to atmospheric s...

Expanded Rack Options
I love instrument and effect racks, but here are a few things I wish they had: LFO - I would like to have a robust LFO that can modulate multiple parameters across multiple devices within the rack. These could be assigned the same way as with macros. X/Y Pad - I would like to have an X/Y pad like th...

Re: Problem with velocity when drawing in notes?
The default velocity in the sequencer is linked to the velocity that is used when you play notes with the computer keyboard. It can be adjusted using C and V.
You probably hit C a few times without intending to.

Re: First Time Dirty Dutch
While we're on the topic though, any tips or advice on how to make a good kick drum or "beefy" drum section? I've heard I need to sample a bunch of different sounds to make one awesome sound... still trying to figure that one out though. I'm constantly linking people to this, but that's b...

Re: First Time Dirty Dutch
Well I absolutely despise Dirty Dutch, but I can give some pointers on production. Firstly, your lower end is barely represented. You need a bass line. Nothing too fancy or in-your-face, because you want that dirty synth line to be the main focal point. The bass's job would be to support that lead. ...

Thanks man. Yeah I've been leaning toward calling it Electro-Breaks.
Of course genres don't matter much - good music is good music - but I enjoy musical cladistics.

Re: How Do I Distort Pitch AND Tempo?
I can think of a couple of ways.
You can set the warp mode to "Re-Pitch" and automate the track tempo. If you want the pure audio file from that you can export it.
Or you can load the sample into a sampler and pitch bend it.

Re: Dubstep Wobble
I guess I'll contribute to the thread... Operator is ideal for creating the nasty, dirty, shrieking basslines that are faddish in dubstep these days. Just farting around with it should yield some good results - I personally find it harder to make controlled, nice sounds with Operator. You might want...
