Re: Is Push right for me?

Force yourself to finish a certain number of tracks maybe just 2 and get them out there for critique.

Re: how can i record complete set?

Re: Preview kit sounds in Mashine

you can audition your samples in realtime, once you load a pad with, say, a kick drum you can hit 'next' on the interface and it'll load that one. Once you have a pattern you can quickly audition the different sounds you'd want in it. I don't think theres a way to audition a sound without loading it...

I haven't had a chance to try Monomodular yet, but I've been reading about it, it seems like the solution.

Monomeemu and similar

I'm trying to find a stable way of using some of the great tools that were created by the monome community with my launchpad, I have been able to use them and they are great, however they are not stable enough to be depended on for live use, I had a rather disastrous crash last night when performing...

I know they are doing something , but consumers are consumers, people will always want 'a show' and how an artist interprets that is up to them...

Re: fake/boring live set?

That may have came off as I am condoning it. really I enjoy pretty much doing everything live, I use either launchpad with some of monome emulator stuff, or maschine. however half the time people think I'm dj'ing anyways, I shrug.

Re: fake/boring live set?

…you can clearly see that in the area of popular electronic music the 'performance aspect' has clearly not evolved but devolved… Fixed that for ya. This is very true, most people don't want to see you 'jam out' they want to hear something cohesive, if you can jam and make something cohesive, awesom...
