How to Show Flats on a Piano Roll
It's been a real annoyance that Live's piano roll only shows accidentals as sharps, but I finally put my mind to figuring out a way to change that today. It's unfortunately still a bit of a hack or workaround, but it's much better than nothing if you're writing in Ab, Bb, Db, or Eb and the piano rol...

Re: Show Flats not Sharps???????
Oh, man. I just searched for this topic on google and found some of my forum posts from like 7 years ago when I was mad about this haha! Based on the number of posts from users around the web, it seems that simply having the option to designate the notes as flats instead of sharps would be very well...

Re: Show Flats not Sharps???????
Looks like there was some form of this feature implemented then rolled back in the 10.2 betas, and you keep describing more sophisticated implementations than necessary. Why would anything need to be saved per clip? Why bother with programming logic to automate the designation of sharps and flats? T...

Re: Show Flats not Sharps???????
Even simply being able to designate an entire set as flats instead of sharp would be incredibly helpful and vastly superior to the current situation, and that seems pretty trivial to implement.

Re: Low latency 2-6 channel soundcards for live ableton performa
Save for the Babyface. Most anything less will be a false economy. I tried the MOTU Track 16 and Focusrite 18i8 previously and returned them both. I could not get acceptable latency for soft synths with them. Found the Babyface for cheap from Juno Records, and I could not be happier! I usually get t...

Re: Ableton Live and BCR2000?
Digging up an older thread here, but I hope someone can help. I'd like to get MIDI parameter feedback working from Amplitube VST in Live to update the encoder LEDs on my BCR2000 after changing presets. Anybody know a way to achieve this? I have a feeling it actually can't be done using Amplitube's M...

Re: Filter MIDI notes
either midi note range on the instrument rack (hit Ctrl-G to rack up impulse) or with the pitch midi effect. pitch allows you to set the range of incoming notes that it affects. it filters out or blocks all notes not in the specified range. i used midi racks with the pitch effect to create a rack th...

Clip (or project?) "Cache Mode" in addition to "RAM Mode"
I just recently recorded a rock band in Live using a lot of multi-mic setups and doing 2-3 takes for most parts for comping. The track count added up in a hurry even with somewhat bare bones instrumentation, so I started getting frequent HDD overload errors when it came time to edit. I have a dual d...

Re: real time effects monitoring
should apply to the live 8 lite version also. i believe the fundamental audio routing capabilities are the same across all versions. to monitor effects on a live audio input in real-time (as close as possible with your rig's latency), just set monitor to "in" instead of "auto".

Re: Can I get rid of Live 8?
I timed my Live 9 upgrade with a move to a new computer, so my situation is a bit different. I still had plenty of Live 8 sets to migrate. For the most part, I've had no trouble pulling up presets for Live 8 projects when opening in Live 9, even for the sample heavy presets from Session Drums and EI...

+1. Seems that most Windows notebooks will be touch within a year or two, and I'd love to use my Lenovo P400's touch screen now!

MIDI input auto-select based on control surface
I would love if newly added MIDI tracks defaulted to only the control surface from which the track was added. For example, add a track from Push and the MIDI input is set to Push instead of All Inputs. Also, would like if we could specify one surface or another as the default for added tracks, maybe...

Re: MadronaLabs Aalto semi-modular synth plugin sale - $50 !
Computer Music distributes a monophonic version of Aalto as one of their CM Plugins. It's pretty awesome. Thanks for the heads-up on the sale for the full version.
