Question regarding The Bridge.

I just recently got the setup and have been messing around with it. It's so new it seems there isn't even a forum section for The Bridge yet so I'll post it here. Is there a way to set it up so that the Ableton Live effect chains I've created affect all the audio and not just the audio coming from A...

Re: New idea/concept for a record label, would love your opinion

I think it's a good idea. The grey area obviously is copyrights. Something like this would best be CC BY "Creative commons". This license lets others distribute, remix, tweak, and build upon your work, even commercially, as long as they credit you for the original creation. But there are o...

Re: Best drum pad controller?

most drum pad controllers have sensitivity adjustments, i think most people don't realize this. So before your go to the trouble of selling and buying something different, check into that.

I know I was able to adjust the sensitivity on a M-Audio MPD16 and that made all the difference in the world.

Re: techno (sample from Whalerider) with ableton and maschine

I had a listen, a couple of things i would do different. The intro is too long in introducing new sounds or variances. And the beat could use 2 things, sound layering so it has a fuller sound, right now the beat is thin and not punchy. Second thing, the beat could desperately use some swing added so...

Re: Syncing two laptops together, one with Ableton Intro?

I'm not familiar with Ableton Intro, is that like Ableton Lite? If it can accept midi, then it should be possible.

Open up preferences, and if you can edit Midi/sync then it should work as long as you have a way to connect both laptops, via midi.

Re: My First Beat In Ableton (or any other DAW). Input welcome.

Not bad. Nice bit of swing to the beat. I do think the synths overpower everything a bit and the beat could use more evolution but not bad for a first track. Also though next time you have to let us see the DAW, it's boring staring at a black screen plus we could give more feedback if we saw your ar...

Are you using any inputs? How is your input section setup in Ableton preferences?\

Take a screen shot.

Re: Strong drums with impulse

Of course layering is really helpful in getting a fuller sound but also did you know you can make a "power cord kick"? Power cords are frequencies that amply/compliment themselves. Here is the video on how to make one: http://edmheaven.blogspot.com/2010/11/advanced-technique-for-creating-d...
