I'm very glad to see a QT playback track being requested, I've asked on a few posts for this feature and am keeping my fingers well crossed that this can be implemented asap (Live 4.0.3!). Not having the ability to use VST/VSTi's when Live is slaving to ProTools or Revision is crippling for us users...

4.0.1 and Audio Units
Just got my 4.0.1 upgrade box and started digging into using AU's, seems like every AU will crash Live whether it's an effect or an instrument, even Apple's own AU's crash. On the other hand all my VST/VSTi's are working fine....any ideas!?

Not impossible but if we would do it now it would take a lot of efforts we would miss for other things. Thanks, I missed that post in my searching. Well let me be the first to ask if you could devote the effort to making this work :) Right now I'm scoring a section for a film, 12 tracks in Live all...

no vst's when rewired...again!
I need to be able to have Live rewired and have vst's running, why are vst's disabled!? I don't want to have to set up all the fx in ProTools again when I want to work to video, not all the vst's that work in Live will work in PT's with the VST-RTAS wrapper so that's a no-go situation...why can't Li...

Unless you have ProTools and rewire live into that for working to video you're best bet is to get hold of ReVision from Granted Software: http://www.grantedsw.com/revision/ It's a rewire QuickTime movie host for Live and Reason, very easy to use, you can bounce a QT with Live's audio as well, pretty...

Hi Red, Been using Live rewired into ProTools 6.1 for a while and as a rewire slave it's working just fine. Only problem has been the high CPU usage by Live in sessions with a lot of effects. I'm recording Live's output into sessions that are pretty track heavy and PT's needs a lot of CPU to play ba...

Markers
That's what I miss, Markers, I work against video all the time and it would be great to be able to drop in a marker on an scene cut (or on a verse chorus bridge)...

rendering to .wav/.aiff not .als?!
Hi...
Stupid newbie question
Render to disk creates a file with .als suffix even though wav or aiff is chosen in render options, I can change the extension to .wav after the fact but is this normal operating precedure!?
Thanks
Doug
