FREE Korg Volca Beats Drum Samples!

Hello everyone! I just bought the Korg Volca Beats analog drum machine and i'm in love with it. It sounds glorious. I decided to sample it and share the pack with all you wonderful people. Recorded at 96khz, ran through UAD 610-B unison pre-amp. I tried to sample as many of the nuances of possible w...

Punk/Metal Project produced in Ableton

Hello everyone! So I recorded my first punk/metal project just over a year ago. My guitarist friend came to me with some ideas and I decided to produce it with him. I did the drums, bass, synths as well as all the production/mixing/mastering. Guitar and bass was recorded DI and processed in Guitar R...

So says Macrumors at least:

Re: Will a Mac Mini make a big difference?

Yes! I own the late 2013 model with with max specs on the CPU and upgraded with 16GB of RAM. This setup can run high track/plugin counts and I have had very few issues with anything audio related. This is my primary studio computer.

Re: DRUM RACK VS INDIVIDUAL AUDIO SAMPLES

For jamming or live performance, I prefer drum racks or maschine.

But in terms of production, I feel like I have much more control using audio directly. MIDI is just an extra step I don't need.

This compressor is great. Used it on some vocals recently. Very happy with the sounds!

Re: Sampling and Noise Reduction

What are you using as an audio interface / DAC? A good condition TR-909 should be completely useable in terms of sampling.

Re: your templates?

I have a variety of different templates for Live. These include things like a default template, a general production template, sampling template, vocal editing template, mixing template, mastering template, etc. I won't get into the nitty gritty of these templates, but I find templates extremely use...

Christmas Covers!

Merry Christmas Eve! A friend of mine wanted to record a few live acoustic covers for his wife as a Christmas gift, so we gave it a go. It was his first time in front of a mic, and we did them all in one take - nothing special! I think they turned out pretty good for what time we had to do this. htt...
