Re: Mixdown and high frequencies

It also helps using the Spectrum plugin native to Live to see the frequencies you may not hear. I use it on individual as well as the mix track.

Re: Heaphone/monitor controller question, halp!

I've been using the JBL M-Patch 2 for a few years, I like it. It's passive but needs power for the headphone out. I use it because it can switch between big and small monitors and the mono switch is real handy. I guess it's the bigger version of the Nano. edit addition - At this price point I think ...

Re: Track dragging in arrangement view.

Yup, same here. My current project is about 130 tracks, Live runs well but moving tracks vertically is a pain.

Re: Using sends & Returns

This is one reason I love Live, there can be many ways to achieve your goal. I barely scratch the surface using rack chains but there’s a whole universe full of possibilities!

Re: Using sends & Returns

One easy way to effect each sound on a drumrack is to drop the effect right on the pad.

Re: All samples sounding like white noise! Help.

It sounds like the sample rate is the issue. But Ableton should play mixed rate files fine normally. What happens if you change the sample rate to 44.1? Does the waveform look distorted after you import the file into Live? You could try reinstalling Live. If that doesn’t solve it I would look into W...

Re: Enlarging Font in Live 10

The new font is not an improvement on L9, it's thinner and more difficult to read.

Re: A way to automate or MIDI map Computer MIDI Keyboard switch

Yes, keyboard maestro can do a simple key remap in a single app or globally. I use it with this USB keyboard http://xkeys.com/xkeys/xk60.php I map keys to functions, play macros, open apps and urls in Live, ProTools and more. It is as complex as you wish it to be. Support is good. I barely scratch t...

Re: How do I crop a specific part of a sample?

You can also use crop without turning on warp mode. Correct me if I'm wrong, I think when warp is on cropping will "bake" the warp's timings into the new cropped sample. Both methods are handy, depends on your needs.

Re: A way to automate or MIDI map Computer MIDI Keyboard switch

Check out Keyboard Maestro. It does a whole lot more than just map keys. I can't work without it. I am not affiliated to the maker in any way.

Re: Avantone - Feeding Ideas

I love my Avantone Cubes, I use them along with my Genelecs to check my broadcast and music mixes. Definitely helps improve my mixes. I imagine you can crank them up, each cube has a huge power supply, great quality all around. I feed both sets of speakers with the passive JBL MPatch 2.

Re: software modular systems

Also there is Audulus. It's constantly being developed and sounds great. Runs on OSX, iOS, Windows and Linux! It started out with very basic components that are now being combined into some pretty hefty patches, some emulating hardware modules. It does require the latest OSX which I'm not running bu...
