Re: Esemdi - Beneath You

The vocals were sung by Coni, she wrote/recorded the lyrics.

The VST is Zebra. Throughout the EP I've used a lot Sylenth1 and Operator.

I'm glad you like it! :)

Nice one but towards the end it sounds like a totally different track. I would've liked it more consistent. Voted! :)

Ableton Contest - Beat the Clock

Hey!

I guess you've all heard about the Beat the Clock contest. :)
Well, I gave it a shot and this is what came out: http://contest.ableton.com/tracks/772
I'd say it's different than the most of the tracks in the contest but you should decide whether that is true or not. :)

Thank you and have a ...

Hello world!

My name is Mihnea, I am a music producer and I have recently moved to England, UK for school.
Due to the current economical conditions staying in school is a bit of a problem. You have to focus on courses and work to be able to live.
I am trying to do both. Hence that leaves me no time ...

You can use some VSTs: Discord and Image Line's Gross Beat are good.

I'd say it's a Sampler with an Arpeggiator. Free rate constantly shifting.

I doubt they would say that, your production is very good.
Once again, thank you. But I don't have much stuff to work with... It took ages to come up with this sound.

Re: Who thinks their music is original?

Yep. Very nice production, but its rare to find originality in dance music nowadays. No-ones fault, just how it is nowadays in dance genres.

Haha, yeah, I know! As I said, it's very (I mean VERY) hard to be original nowadays. The best you can do is trying to establish your own sound. That way ...

Re: Who thinks their music is original?

The Leveller wrote:Again, this is really well done, all the tricks are in there, a spot of sidechaining, and hiding the kick on the snare hit all that, but thats also what keeps it from being original. The genre takes away from the originality by definition, if you know what I mean.
You're talking about my track? :)

As an artist and label manager I prefer ZeroInch. It's different and... underground. That's actually what I'm looking for, a site which promotes underground music.

Re: Who thinks their music is original?

Unlike other things, music never dies. So it's kind of impossible to make something without being influenced by someone else's songs, especially when you listen to a lot of music.
