Re: Using Push 3 to record a vocal mic signal
Searching on Amazon, for phantom power supplies, there do seem to be some that have built in batteries and can be charged from a usb socket, which makes me wonder if you could use one of them and take power from the Push's USB port? I've not tried one, mind you...

Re: MaxforLive and Push 3 Standalone
I've probably misunderstood the question but MIDI Mappings aren't possible to change on the fly, Thanks! What I was thinking was to have the MIDI CCs baked in but be able to on-the-fly change what they control on that track. So, I know the CCs of my attached faderbank and they don’t change but I’d ...

Re: MaxforLive and Push 3 Standalone
This looks awesome! I wonder if this technique could be used to create a device that allowed midi mappings on the fly in standalone (an oft-requested feature!). For example, could one make an m4l device that had pre-setup mappable controls for each of a bunch of midi-CCs and then drop that into a tr...

Re: Push 3 CV via ADAT?
Yes, I’ve had the ES-3 and ES-6 working well with Push for both audio and CV simultaneously.

Re: Midi controller assignments on stand alone
I'm idly wondering if some kind of midi mapping in standalone might be possible with some clever max4live device programming? An m4l device could sit on a midi track receiving input from a controller and route this out to anything in live via the live object model, so that part shouldn't be a proble...

Re: Midi controller assignments on stand alone
Totally agree… midi mapping in standalone would make this so much more expressive as a live instrument!

Re: Push 3 Case
I bought the larger of the two Push 3 soft cases from here, which I quite like. Nice to have something with a shoulder strap. I do wonder now if I should've got the hard case version because I find myself still a bit paranoid about banging into it, but if I'm careful it seems fine (it's very well pa...

Re: Splitting encoders and pads?
I’ve been wondering this too… I suspect the answer is basically no, but it would be wonderful! (It’s great that you can use the session view on screen to launch clips while playing pads - this would take it to the next level…) Presumably you could rig something up using max for live mapping but you’...

Re: Push 3 ADAT I/O recommendations?
I’m using an ExpertSleepers ES-3 and ES-6 very happily with Push to send audio and CV back and forth to my modular. Works great and it’s cheaper than the ES-8 and has two more inputs (albeit with 4 extra hp of space needed…)

Re: Push 3 Official Bag & Accessories
I bought a soft case from Synth Toys, who also do a hard case with shoulder strap. Pretty happy with it! The one I got has a section for the push and another which has plenty of room for cables, power supply and other stuff. It’s quite well protected, although I do wonder a bit about the corners whe...

Re: CV instrument with Push standalone
I am able to load a calibrated CV Tools device connected to ES-8 in a project in PUSH 3 standalone mode. Tuning seems good. That’s good to hear - worth persevering for me then! Between us we have the ES-8 and push CV outs working ;-) Can I just double check the procedure you follow? You run the cal...

Re: CV instrument with Push standalone
It’s very weird… I can get CV instrument calibration to work for an ES-3 in controller mode, following the on screen instructions in the instrument. But the calibration doesn’t seem to save in the set when I transfer it to the push in standalone mode. But now I can’t seem to get CV instrument to wor...

Re: CV instrument with Push standalone
Interesting! So can you calibrate the ES-8 for CV instrument when in controller mode and have that carry over to standalone as well?
Fwiw, I did manage to get the pedal outs on Push 3 to work when in controller mode. It's just that the calibration failed to carry over to standalone.

CV instrument with Push standalone
Has anyone figured out how to get CV instrument to work with push standalone? I’ve been trying to get it to work with the pedal jack outputs and it sort of does but the calibration is waaaaay off. You can’t run the calibration from the Push but you can in controller mode, which works ok. I figured I...
