Re: APC 40 FAQs, features and questions
would be wonderful, i agree let's hope M4L offers some kind of workaround for that limitation Actually I hope not - I don't want to have to pay extra for something that should have been built in from the start. Implementing workarounds for essential but missing features through M4L is the worst use...

Re: APC 40 FAQs, features and questions
nope, same as always So you can't record automation (knob movements) in session view with the APC? well, it gets recorded into the arrangement view, just like any other midi controller used with Live Damn! I was hoping bringing out a dedicated controller would be sufficient incentive for them to re...

Re: APC 40 FAQs, features and questions
I notice the APC has dedicated knobs for Lives instruments and effects - are these recordable as automation in session view or does it suffer from the same limitation that affects all VST automation in Live? I've had no problem recording automation of Live instruments/effects, AU's, or VST's using ...

Re: Novation automap and recording midi CC in session view
2) recording MIDI CC with 3rd party plugs with their own midi learn Don't know about the Novation but I would be interested. I can't seem to get this method to work with Ni Kore (using midi learn, not the usual VST automation) I thought it should work but nothing gets recorded. Maybe I'm doing some...

Re: Automation data in Session View
I don't see the problem. You have clips you can draw automation into or even copy it from the arrange view (rather laboriously). So why not just allow recording into a clip too? You can even do it with midi learnt plugins so what's the holdup?

Re: Novation automap and recording automation in session view
This is the biggest reason why I've given up on Live for plugins and just use it for assembling audio clips and collage using samples I've recorded in other apps - it can't even record them for it's own synths and fx even though many of them have very useful XY pads and macro controls none of them c...

Re: Genre..... What's a genre?!
I recently bought a Murcof CD from my local HMV, it was in the "Dance" section, along with many other cds that I'm really into but could IN NO WAY dance to. Maybe some talented modern dance group might have been able to put some wild avant-garde movement together to do it some justice but...
