Re: Max for Live Manual

It does kind of show why printed documentation isn't ideal though, 2310 pages and of course non of the links are clickable once it's printed. There's always this . Not read it myself, £38 seems a bit steep. That book's really good, worth the money. It's very thorough and well-written, and includes ...

where'd you find that? Seems to still be 199 Euros on the NI site...

[EDIT] oh, ok, on the audiomidi site. I guess probably US sales only...

Re: Wordpress users: best audio player for music site?

I'm interested in this too. I use the WordPress audio player -

http://wpaudioplayer.com/

- which is fine, but I wouldn't mind finding a non-flash player (for iPhone/Pod/Touch etc.). Any ideas? I've got a SoundCloud account, but SC seems to be flash-based too.

Re: Recommend me some Dubsteppage.

I wanna chip in to big up Rob Smith, of Smith and Mighty fame. He should be a great inspiration to oldsters like you (UKRuss), and me. Having been a mainstay of the 'old' Bristol massive (Massive Attack etc) he's TOTALLY holding his own with the young dubstep whippersnappers, releasing as RSD. Not a...

So... you recommend BeatMaker? I've been considering it, but it's a little expensive (I know it's not really, but I spend too much money on apps!)

Re: Group Buy: Aether Reverb

I can't even get the plug to appear in my devices list - any one else got this problem? I'm on live 8.0.1 and Max OS 10.4.11 - I think it might be the latter that's the problem maybe..

Re: Basic Composition Book Recommends?

I thought I'd check this out and had a quick look on Amazon (at the Snoman book). You can do a bit of 'look inside' at the contents and a few pages, and I have to say it didn't look much use to me - pretty dated and basic. The selection of dance styles offered is pretty limited, surely? (good to see...

That's interesting... I used to HATE Ableton's reverb - found it tinny and a generally a bit poo. But then I started messing around with it, having it on the Return bus and found I could be really creative with it. At the end of the day, I make electronic music, so - in a way - the reverb suits tha...

I've got loads of third party stuff, most of which I use quite rarely, but most of which has its moment every now and again. I don't seem to have that overload problem (though totally see where you're coming from). I do use Live's plugins probably 70 percent of the time, and will usually go there as...

so I got one in the end. Easy enough to get to work with Live I'd say - really no easier or harder than any other controller I've used. TBH I've not been bothered about no automap for Live - I've not really got into it yet; seems a bit of a pain at the moment.
