have 7 as well but switched to 6 cos a few old projects were crashing. but did the same thing

ok ill try that. but no hub. was straight into the macH20nly wrote:Try it on a different port. If you're using it with a hub, make sure the hub has its own power supply... if it doesn't and you're sharing the USB hub with other devices, then that's your issue right there.

I used to have something similar happen with my Traktor Audio 6 interface when it was run only on USB power. 256 vs. 512 is a difference in buffer size, not sample rate. Your sample rate would be something like 44.1 kHz, for example. If your buffer is set too low you'll get pops crackles and drop outs. hey guys. during a dj set my duet seemed to have the sound quality deteriorate to the sound of a game boy. i think the power then died. its a usb powered duet. when i looked at the project sample rate it was 256, and im pretty sure it was on 512 originally. does anybody know how this could happen or...

ableton dj set cache using way more space than it should
so i have a collected and saved set in a folder thats say 2/3 gb. but when i open the set (clean the cache before opening) my HD space starts using way more than 2/3gb of hardrive space. it also takes pretty long to load. any ideas as to why?

i am able to drage the second window in reason upwards onto my second monitor which is situated above my macbook screen. but it doesnt seem to work with 9.1. am i being stupid or is this a real thing? its kinda annoying. cos i dont have space to put my monitor on the side next to my laptop

good point about not sounding exactly the same live. yes ive started to use dummy silent clips of a kick for side chain compression for my partner playing the guitar. just needa figure out what else we gotta start breking down!

thanks for the reply! will look at those articles and try those tips! i think my biggest problem is trying to break songs into stems, but then i run into the problem of not knowing how to keep the master madlib like compression on them that i used. especially if i want to play seperate parts of the ...
