I own max/msp, but I've never got beyond chapter 14 in the manual! I always get that far (I've tried about five times now), then something comes up and lose track and forget everything.

I think this is a great partnership, although personally I'm not interested in programming patches with max/msp ...

The most helpful advice is: ditch M-Audio. Buy Presonus or MOTU. It's the only way your nightmare will go away. Trust me, and many others. We've been there.

Well I eventually figured out what the problem was (or appears to be). I was using an external HD (LaCie FW800 BigDisk 300GB, with a firewire 400 connection fwiw) to store all audio and video files and Live couldn't access the data fast enough. I transferred the entire project ...
