If you want to use control vinyl then Serato is a great choice, I've been using my SL3 interface with 1200's for 3 years and never had a single issue. I think the term glitch hop tends to be used for heavily edited instrumental hiphop, I'm not sure if Flying Lotus and Brainfeeder crew can really be described like that.
