Laptop advice (Acer Nitro 5)

Hi people, I am having to buy a new laptop for Live use as my old is, well old, and have taken a lot of beating at clubs and festivals. So I am considering the following one, and are just looking for some user experiences from you guys. Acer Nitro 5 (NH.Q3XED.025) Win 10 64bit Intel Core i7 (2.2Ghz,...

Re: routing

Well, this is perfectly doable in Live. Keep in mind though that the Return tracks can give you a little more control since you can configure the dry/wet ratio yourself. Anyway; what you want to achieve is relatively easy too. Add a new audio track, put the audio effect you wish to use on it (and I...

midimap something to all the on/offs of your reverb machines. If you wanna kill it all, just hit that button.

Tbh i knew that if I threw that 'el dorado' out there, one of the max folk would say something handy ;) Yeah, thanks for that! If you could throw out a question about how to make quick cash, doing virtually nothing I would apreciate it immensly! :P Cheers, bud! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-d-tV...

Re: routing

What exactly do you consider an "insert" track to be ? You can route sound almost anywhere you like. An audio track or midi track (when it has an instrument) can easily route its output somewhere else. For example you can easily set "Audio to" to 'Sends only' and then raise the ...

routing

is there any way of routing an insert to a send? So that you get the processed insert signal to a send for instance if you put a stutter effect or something on an insert track, and you midimap the on/of button of it to a pad, but you'd like a little tail on it when you switch it off. I can achieve i...

Re: Live Sampling Help

a simple way is this: 1. load your samples into the live grid (just create one audio track for each of your samples) 2. click the midimap button (or ctrl+m) 3. highlight the little play button on sample nr. 1 and press the pad you want to trigger it from (you highlight by simply clicking on it with ...

Re: Small Monitors recomendations...I got allready big ones

I switched from KRKs to Genelecs to Acoustic Energy. The price goes up, but I am very happy with my selections. I use Genelecs in one studio and Acoustic Energy in my own studio. The KRKs are ok enough, but they are quite bass heavy and not close to as crisp as the Genelecs or AE's - however, the Ge...

Re: What exactly can M4L do that's so cool?

So if I don't feel limited then I shouldn't waste my money? Correct. I am quite intrigued actually, I am fed up of my routing to channels routing to channels routing to channels, and midimapping one button to everything and back, when there should be easier ways to do things. (Someone said that the...

Re: TouchAble - complete controller for Ableton Live & IPAD

Also a little bug, I assume, when you have more than 3 sends in a project, and have the zoomed in view on the iPad mixer. Send A hid itself behind Send B, and I also lost the feedback gfx on the Send (the dry/wet level) - but the function still worked without problems.

Re: TouchAble - complete controller for Ableton Live & IPAD

I don't know if this is what you are looking for re. fewer tracks on screen, but if you press the little square inside the + pad (the one where you move around in the set, up,down, left, right) and then press the directional buttons, they change the size of the tracks so that you get fewer or more in ...
