I have managed to make my step sequencer trigger from midi notes and I have done away with the metro triggers. But now when I change the loop points its triggering notes. Copy the contents of the 16 macros device.

So click the edit button to open the max window,
Then highlight all of the objects inside.
Goto the edit menu and copy.

New midi device + paste!

I do this all the time btw.

I have sorted out the flush object. Now the output midi notes are the same length as the source signal.

Now I am getting a 16th note delay on the note-shifts.
