Formal pardon

A couple of weeks ago I was in hysteria. After experiencing crashes with my Vista PC, aka Lifeline, The whole anti-piracy system of nowadays-companies came unto me: Online activation. I tried to think through the use and the logical water-tightness of the whole. How to make clear you, myself, are a ...

The Ableton saga ends... for now

Apologies accepted...but The burden of proof is still on the customer. I like to swap hard drives and reinstall my software ten times a day. Am I forbidden to do that? Let alone the many crashes and upgrades a creative and experimental PC user may experience. Deactivation and unlocking software has ...

The Ableton Theft Saga

Every second counts... This company wants me to go down on my knees and beg for unlocking my legal copy of Live 6. Still no response on my request to delete my previous activations so that that I can use my one and only install of the software I paid money for. Welcome to the new age of greed and mi...

Ableton criminals

After I changed a mother board, swapped hard drives, had crashes with NVIDIA Raid I cannot fully use my legally owned copy of Live 6 because of the unlock limit. I sent them an email, no response. I give them 24 hours, after that I will use and propagate the use of a crack . I never beg to use the i...

From a philosophical point of view: Never, ever look at your gross money and compare it with your net. It gives you a false impression of what income is and taxes mean. Of course do people, who earn more money have to pay higher taxes. Because by demanding more value ( = money as a carrier of this v...

yeah, I am not so sure we want these touch screens at all. They are not 'tactile' enough. I rather want to hit, pull, blow and punch more than to caress the interface. It is all about staying grounded in the physical realm to maintain a healthy psychological balance...but that's me.

Thank you for your replies. I will look closer into the problem. Livelab's LiveSlice does output audio and midi, and indeed the routing in Live doesn't really acount for that. The individual loopslices in LiveSlice can output midi Controller Changes on two channels to control for example a Filter cu...

Piracy makes the world go round

Very good points! Piracy has expanded the aforementioned userbase on a global scale. Without it we would never have known of the existence of the products we now love to use. We would still be in the predigital days when the means to express our creativity lay still hidden in the hands of the very s...

Live's arpeggiator seems ok

I did not yet spent time with it (Live's arpeggiator), but when I read the workings of it, it struck me that at the surface it may look like having very basic patterning, but with the extra controls you could be making every thinkable arpeggio with it. So no need for another one, just putting some w...
