Re: Verry frustrated with the APC20 all of the sudden.

pulled the USB on my APC40, put it back in, tried the 're-enable track' trick above, didn't work. Because it doesn't work like this... it's not 'it' it's all devices running on winblows. I don't buy that this works with an Evolution UC-17. But but but... the x1. And probably all NI controllers and ...

Re: Verry frustrated with the APC20 all of the sudden.

Something I learned recently on PC, as long as the controller is working when you start up Live you just have to re-'Track' it in the MIDI settings to get it working again after loosing connection. If by this you mean deactivating and reactivating the "track" buttons in the midi preferences... for ...

Re: Verry frustrated with the APC20 all of the sudden.

Really? That's great to hear. I'm trading my APC20 for an X1 and switching to Traktor fro playing out. Paradoxically enough, for my intents and purposes Live just isn't live enough.

Very frustrated with the APC20 all of the sudden.

I played a gig last night and 3 times during an hour and a half it simply stopped working by itself. I did not move any cables nothing was out of place I was just mixing away happily when the APC stops working. Live doesn't respond to any button presses/fader moves and the controller itself, while s...

Re: Some mp3s are corrupt or not licensed and cannot be opened.

Thanks. What did it for me eventually was actually running damn Quicktime. After I've opened it for only a few seconds, then all mp3 were OK.

Some mp3s are corrupt or not licensed and cannot be opened.

I knew this happened when you didn't have Quicktime installed, but I do... I could try converting them to aiff, or wav but it would be a PITA since it's quite a lot of them.

What do I do?

Re: Automagically control the first 8 parameters with AKAI LPD8

no idea how that guy set his script up - i don't have an LPD8 - but yea you can control a device's knobs, buttons etc. using the custom control script. you can have bank switches too, to move to the next 8 params in the device, and the banks show at the bottom of the Live screen. handy. have a dig ...

Re: Automagically control the first 8 parameters with AKAI LPD8

So that only works for macros, drums rack and impulse?

With the Nocturn and the script I mentioned, ANY device's first 8 paramsare controllable.

Thanks though, that's very close to what I was after.

Automagically control the first 8 parameters with AKAI LPD8

I stumbled across this quote As for the control of the first eight parameters - yes - it is not automap, but a regular midi mode - achievable with any midi controller. And I have to ask, is this for real? I plan to get an AKAI LPD8 and this would make me very happy if I could automatically and witho...

Cheap, small-footprint controller to go with the APC20

I used to use the Novation Nocturn and while it was dirt cheap and it's pretty and it's small and has endless rotaries, I have grown to hate the Automap software with a passion, even when it did work. Now there's a conflict between it and my Saffire 6 USB, in the sense that they will not work togeth...
