nice! thanks guys. i'd seen the Vizzable stuff and thought that might be along the right lines.

i have no knowledge of either Max or Jitter, but sounds like its time to acquire some.

been using Ableton for audio for a while but never ventured into the world of realtime visuals and wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction.

what i want to do is trigger some simple visuals from ableton. imagine a 4x4 grid, each square assigned to a midi note trigerable ...

i had similar problems with my BCR in both outdoor gigs by a river (cold and moist) and indoor gigs in a sweatbox (alos lots of bass vibration) - pretty much whenever i used it outside my studio.

my solution was to ditch USB and connect the BCR by good old midi. has been 100% ever since!

ditch USB for midi where ever possible!

for me connecting my bcr2000 by midi stopped my whole setup crashing whenever it was exposed to a decent level of bass.

as has been said - great track! totally different to the music i make - but hey, i like music and its good music.

seeing as you are asking for criticism (of the constructive kind) there was one thing that grated a little - the layered flute sound for the solo at around 120 on your flash player.

also, rather than just a straight music demo put together some music to picture work to show them.

maybe take an advert or pop video you like and put your music to it.

or i'm sure there are websites where people making short films are looking for collaborators to do the sound design?

i think the beginning is a bit justice, but from 2.50 on it really hits its stride.

like the vocals - did you sing them or sample them? want to get some vocals like that!

only other comment is the bassline. really funky - the riffs work well, but i think the sound could be made to ...
