Im working on a project and my CPU is hitting 80% with some audio stutter.

I was wondering if theres a way to identify plugins CPU usage like i can in other DAW's.

My only other change recently is a new audio interface but I cant think why that would affect CPU usage.

I was wondering if its possible, and how, to apply a variation of grooves to 1 drum rack.

So I have my kit, and I want to put something like a 62% on my 16th's hats and stuff, but then I want to swing the snare hits more strongly than this.

I am trying to record FX automation im doing live in maschine into my ableton channel, i want ableton to trigger the midi notes (the sample pitches) and i want to play with the FX knobs over the top of it...

Issue is, that ableton doesnt seem to record the FX adjustments as automation ...

Ah sorted, seems output 8-9 was SPDIF it just wasnt labelled as such

I use SPDIF on my interface into a DAC for headphone monitoring, in other DAW's id simply change the default output 1/2 to SPDIF and all would be fine.

I wanted to ask these questions in one topic rather than make 2.

Firstly, is there a way to preview samples from browser via my spectrum analyster? I could in logic pro but in ableton there doesnt seem to be a routing that lets me analyse the audio of a sample before its in the project ...

I think its ozone on my master that does it, even when turned off it creates latency!

I am having a strange issue with ableton where a blank new project with 1 VST has no latency, yet a more constructed song has noticeable latency.

Is this to do with ableton or a plugin somewhere? Ive turned off everything on my master and the issue persists.

I mix pretty low in ableton and have my volume high to compensate, I was wondering if theres a setting to lower the volume of the browser previews so they dont deafen me when auditioning files?

It's not possible with Live's native effects, but on the preferences tab for look/feel there's a section for plugins at the bottom.

Activate the first option if you want to be able to see multiple plugin windows on the same track and the second if you don't want to auto hide plugins when selecting ...

Coming from logic i was used to being able to have different channels plugins open at the same time, great for working with the kick and bass EQ at the same time!

Is there a way to do this in live? as i notice that when i clock off a track it closes all its plugins
