Move controlling Drambo on iPad

I received my Move last week and wanted to use it as a MIDI control surface for Drambo running on an iPad. And it works rather well, with the first basic mapping attempts I made.

One gotcha: I was using Control Live mode. Drambo had to send some note every beat to ensure the LEDs stay lit on the ...

Re: Midi in Move

Not the best answer, but you can send sequencer data (e.g. from Drambo) to Note via the MIDI in support. It's a bit tricky, since Note is actually capturing in real-time. For a few clips, this may work. But you probably have to clean up or trim the clip afterwards.

It's actually more of a hassle ...

Re: Recording guitar in ableton 6 with m- audio fast track USB

I have the m-audio FireWire Solo (I assume quite similar to your interface). The GTPlayer was included with the audio interface. It exists as a standalone application (which I never used) and as a VST plugin. I can record in a Live track and use the plugin to create FX (live, when recording or ...

Make sure that the different LIVE instruments listen to different MIDI channels. Otherwise, they'll play everything that comes in.

As mentioned in this thread, you can link Garageband from within Live, for both MIDI and Audio.

1 - install Soundflower from Cycling '74, reboot, run Soundflowerbed
2 - Start Live as your master application to route everything.
3 - Start Garageband as a second app, only for processing MIDI and ...

I think you need to store the memory from the controller itself. The path dump is probably only received in a temp memory.

I could be wrong...

I am hoping for this for quite some time. But alas... it doesn't seem to be a priority.

This is used in many different situations: classical music, prog-rock, simple pop music.

Making projects in 1/4 is not a solution...

I would suggest keeping the time signature a global setting, but allow the ...

And while you're at it, drop images too. Or integrate it into a custom lesson-pane, that you can add to a song.

Actually, an editing interface to the lessons would solve some of these questions.

Is this true? No temp changes possible?

Damn :( There goes my progrock experimentation.

Maybe I can get away for a particular case: 4x 4/4 and 4x 3/4 (which is 12 and can be looped with the global quantization set to bar).

I thought I finally had the one application that I'd use for everything.

I don't have a clue how you created this, but it sounds good. Yes, there are some glitches, but considering this to be a live Live performance, it's not really a problem.

Any chance of giving a hint or possibly some screenshot to explain what you did?

(I'm a guitarist, but I'm learning Live now)
