Unsynced Autopan LFO start position: is it random?

I love using the autopan with the phase set to 0 degrees to make it a "auto amp LFO". Unfortunately, when I try to use it in uncynced (hertz) mode, it doesn't seem to start the LFO at the same place in the wavetable each time. Is this a bug, or was the plugin actually designed this way? Ca...

Re: QuestionsAbleton browser-based file organization (relinking)

If you move your files from the Live browser, they will automatically be re-linked, and you won't have any "missing file" problem. For real? YESSSSS!!! that makes me very happy OH I see what you mean. I guess you could try it an find out. I was certinly planning on it but I think its bett...

Re: QuestionsAbleton browser-based file organization (relinking)

That sounds right, but are you sure it doesn't do that automatically when only moving files within the browser (screen left). It would make a lot of sense that ableton would relink its database to know the new location since its the one performing copy/move. Does it work like that or am I wrong? may...

QuestionsAbleton browser-based file organization (relinking)

Hello. I'd like to ask for people's experiences in organizing vast sample libraries. If you're like me then you've been collecting samples for many years. They are organized for the most part, but newer samples always pile up. My questions are: When you move files from folder to folder within the ab...

Re: Midi type 0 to type 1 on Mac.. please help

I believe this is exactly what you're (we're) looking for: http://download.cnet.com/Sweet-MIDI-Converter/3000-2140_4-146795.html I just found this after struggling with the same problem and this seems to work perfectly! It is surprising and unfortunate that midi file tools are not more readily avail...

Re: Synth out of tune when exporting tracks

Right, but this problem only has to do with instances of sampletank, not all the tracks in the session. In my case, instruments, drums, and audio samples played in key while certain instances of sampletank played very flat. Otherwise, I'm fairly certain that setting the SR value at the export page t...

Re: Synth out of tune when exporting tracks

Yep, it has to do with samplerate as cotdagoo predicted. Check that your audio interface is set to 44.1, then check in Live prefs that samplerate is 44.1. RESTART LIVE, then set export options also to 44.1. It worked for me: OSX, Sampletank2

Re: Simpler pitch bend range

Here's how I do it: Make sure you do the trimming/looping of your WAV within the simpler before changing the pitch range. right-click the nameplate of the simpler instrument, at the bottom of the right click menu click simpler>sampler. Now click on the "Midi" tab of the sampler instrument,...
