Re: Roland System-1 not working as a vst midi controller
Figured out the System-1 will map to volume controls and any other ableton controls but it doesn't work with the vst configure option which is usually how i do all my mapping.

Roland System-1 not working as a vst midi controller
Hi, I've trying to use my system-1 as a midi controller for VST's in ableton. I can see that midi is coming into Ableton but for some reason its not allowing me to map to vst paramaters using Ableton's configure in a VST. It's controlling Rolands plugout vst no problem so i'm really puzzled! Any tip...

Mapping midi notes to other midi notes (using racks or M4L)
Hi, What I want to achieve: Make C1 (or any other note) in a midi clip trigger any note I want in a drum rack e.g. C1 triggers C3 on the drum rack. I need to create 16 different mappings for different notes. Why I want to achieve this: I have a some drum racks that I'm happy with. I have a bunch of ...

Re: Making a track only respond to cc when armed
Nice idea, Not sure it will work though as the drum sounds need to be triggered throughout the track. I can't think of anyway round this so i've purchased a cheap korg cc controller from ebay which i'm going to dedicate to drum rack selection. Thanks for the idea, let me know if i've missed somethin...

Making a track only respond to cc when armed
Hi, I've created a drum rack which has 16 cc assigned to it. I only want those cc to only work on that track when I have it armed. Is that possible or is there a work around? I want to use the controller for other things on other tracks. I'm using an Evolution MK-449c midi usb controller Thanks T

Re: 62MS audio recording delay normal?
Hi @fishmonkey,
The buffer size is 512
Input latency 0
Output latency 12.3ms
Driver compensation 0
Overal latency 12.3ms
There isn't any control panel for the Scarlett 2i2 so there's no settings to adjust there.

62MS audio recording delay normal?
Hi, I'm recording my analog gear into a macbook air (latest version OSX 10.7.4) using Ableton Live 8 with a Focusrite 2i2. I have no plugins on the channel and i've tried both direct and non-direct monitoring. I've also tried plugging the 2i2 into a separate USB port just in case other peripherals a...

Re: Snapshots for Arrangement/Session View
Hi Marcel, I've been trying some work arounds for this. You could for example consolidate whole loop regions in the arrangement view and then use the 'capture and insert scene' function. You can then quickly try different arrangements by triggering the scenes in the session view. This works pretty w...

Any way to find out which process crashes live?
Hi,
