What I miss (compared to f.i. FLStudio) is to have access to my other VST plugins in Live while it is hooked up in Rewire Mode. It is a great loss to me having only internal plugins to choose from. I always have to switch between my Protools and Live to get VST stuff done (or use Live ...

To me it seems more useful to provide a hook than to give up and make some "offline" work (which can be done with tons of VST plugins. In this case i would switch back to Protools and use Synchronic which provides real time features).

when it comes to offline work there are tons of superb plugins out there squeezing your audio file into all known and unknown dimensions. IMHO, this is the building block of Live. Removing it renders it useless (and I can uninstall it and get back to my Protools)

In my opinion the sound quality is the major part that needs immediate surgery. I did extensive research in the internet as I thought I must have some hardware problems, often hear "thin" sounds while using Live. Result of research: I am not the only one.

But I love this app coz it ...

Sorry not to be of much help. But this is what happened. It started one day and stopped the other. I did not traced my installations/deinstallations/configuration modifications etc. during this time.

This is a known issue in the pro scene (music production/engineering - where I come from). I am using Live since v2 and this is really a very annoying issue (and the reason I did not buy it and am still using a demo).
