How do you rename a set with Live (in this case 6.10) still being able to find its samples and all?

Erasing unused samples when more than 1 .als in 1 session.

Say i save a second version of my session and therefor have 2 .als files in my session folder.

When I then erase "unused files", will LIVE also delete files that are needed in the other .als ?

what's the best way to have a distorted guitar via plug-ins (LIVE's saturator
sounds just terrible).
Does using plug-ins in any way come close to an external effects unit or

it seems though that the distortion isn't always there. It slowly fades in when
she sings louder methinks... either this was manually done or that is why i
imagine it could be a tube pre-amp...

yes that's what i mean.
but when i overload my channel on my desk it distorts immediately at some
point. That's why I'm thinking its maybe tube distortion.
Oh - just tried it with a guitar distortion. Does work quite well.

Not if in the end you really want a mono clip in order to save CPUage (if recorded in 24bit this really makes a difference, at least on my machine). When set to 0% 'Utility' reduces any ...

possible bug in live 6.05 (and in 6.10)
After doing some changes of eg. removing clips and then saving the set you
have to reload it if you want to create a live pack, or else LIVE gives you an
error message that it won't find samples he thinks are still there.

Oh that is quite simple:

In arrangement view:

1. Insert a new audio track
2. Select "Resample" as INPUT, alternatively select as Input the track the mono clip is on. ARM the track.
3. Silence/mute ...

I have a lot of old mono clips that come in stereo unfortunately. I want to convert them to mono to save CPU power and reduce the size of sessions.

I tried stuff like sending it out as Mono via Utility and resampling but that won't do it. LIVE will just offer me internal stereo recording ...
