Yup nice approach.
I would still need:
6: for clip noodling
3: for scene select (verse, chorus, bridge)
1: tap tempo
1: stop all the stuff
not to mention the very fine idea of switching effects on/off.... :P

Lets say we go for no effects switching:
makes 11 switches.
