Re: new 13" MacBook Pro performance?
Wow, that sucks. FWIW I get 23% on a 2011 Mac Book Pro 13" i7 w/ 8gb RAM. is it only the i7 macbook airs with the hard drive soldered to the board or all of the Airs and also what's this about it being slower than the older core 2 duo macbooks I thought it was supposed to be faster? All the new...

Re: new 13" MacBook Pro performance?
So the reason not to use the air is just because "they said so"?! And no other reason. I don't buy it. I'm sure it runs fine, not quite as fast but fine. So if you run your 28" at full resolution how do you cope with seeing the smaller items on the screen without sitting closer? Mayb...

DC-Coupled Outputs on M-Audio Fast Track Ultra?
I'm looking into picking up a Doepfer Dark Energy this weekend, wondering if anyone's tried CV control from an M-Audio Fast Track Ultra?
I don't have any CV gear around my house, if anyone is willing to test or has experience with using CV modules with this soundcard, please let me know.

monome.org, but there's only 10 of the one in the picture in existence and they pretty much say on the site that they'll never make them again.Kruddler wrote: PS: Where do get the thing above?.

Re: 2011 Macbook Prod performances? (live situation) 13" or 15"?
I got the 2011 13" i7, added 8gb memory and an ssd, runs everything like a champ. 8 ins, effects, aalto, max patches all going at the same time and it doesn't hiccup at all.
There's no reason not to get a refurb either if you're looking to save a bit of money.

Re: Macbook Pro 13" i5 or i7?
^^^ Ahh fair enough. Your aware the 13" is only duel core right? IF you have the cash to spend I'd take the i7 personally, but with an ssd the i5 will definitely suffice. Ended up getting the i7 and upgrading to 8gb and a 256gb ssd. Laptop flipping owns and runs my monome stuff so nice. Aalto ...

Re: Macbook Pro 13" i5 or i7?
I'm looking for smaller/lighter. My current notebook is already a quad i7 with a 160gb ssd. Were I to get the 13' MBP i would just move the SSD over there and sell my current notebook with the 500gb drive from the MBP in it's place.

Macbook Pro 13" i5 or i7?
I'm looking into getting a current gen MBP (2011). I'm using an i7 740qm laptop right now but it is too damn heavy to carry around (like 13lbs with the power supply). I was hoping that someone could tell me whether the i5 would be sufficient for what I am doing which is recording 8x simultaneous inp...

Looking for an extremely cheap DAW function control for 8
Hi - I use a Livid Block/Ohm64 setup currently for my rig and this is working out great for DJ applications. I tend to use my Ohm to launch clips & mix then run mlrv/molar on the Block via rewire/monomebridge. What I am looking for is something like the Korg nanoKontrol2 which seems perfect for ...

Live 8 upgrade path for APC40/Live 7 bundle?
I am considering buying an APC40 which comes with the special version of Live 7 to replace my dearly departed Axiom 49. I was wondering what upgrade will work with the stripped down version of Live 7 that comes with the APC40. Can I use this one, or do I have to buy the full suite product? http://pr...

Install Reaktor 5 as AU or VST?
I've been messing around trying to do this all morning, it's really starting to piss me off though.
Is there a way to use Reaktor as an AU plugin in Live? I'm using version 6.0.1 of Live, Version 5.1 of Reaktor.
Thanks for your help

Powered Reference Monitors?
Any recommendations? I used to own these http://www.fruity-loops.com/store/product.asp?sku=EM.MA-8BK&nav=m However the powered side got a nice cold glass of beer dumped on it so I'm shopping around. I'm looking into these: http://www.krksys.com/v3/rokit_rp5.asp http://www.zzounds.com/item--BEHB2...
