A Call to Action for Push Users - Email Ableton!

It's been beaten and battered since Push was released and we discovered we couldn't load VSTs directly from Push. Before anyone jumps out the window I'm well aware of AudioModder, I own his presets and every single other made for Push. The bottom line though is that these are workarounds to a very s...

Petition To Have Ableton Hire Guy from AudioModder.com

I’d like to start a petition to get Ableton to hire the guy from AudioModder.com as a full time employee or consultant. If you’re not familiar with his work he’s the guy responsible for bridging the gap between the ENTIRE Native Instruments collection and Ableton Push. He’s also done Soundtoys, UAD ...

Re: Ableton Live 9 vs Pro Tools HD 11: Real world test

I wouldn't get caught up in worrying about sound differences, workflow is the more important reason to choose a DAW and it's how you actually use it that will affect your results the most. The sound quality debate is really old now and in my opinion redundant. If you are just recording MIDI based e...

Ableton Live 9 vs Pro Tools HD 11: Real world test

Hardcore Ableton user here but I've been running a series of non-scientific real world experiments to see if investing in PTHD is worth it. Everything is exactly the same on all tracks except one of these was made in Ableton 9, the other in PTHD 11. Plugins used are Phalanx Nexus East West Play Loom...

Dada Life says the same thing many of us have been repeating over and over and the forum hater trolls go silent. This place is a joke.

Re: LIVE 9 : PDC IMPROVED OR NOT ?

they don't have the man power to do it (all the talent went to BitWig) you don't know that. Gerhard Behles is of the Apple mindset, which means he is VERY careful about adding features to the program. Keeping the program simple is an obsession with this guy. you don't know that either. New features...

Re: LIVE 9 : PDC IMPROVED OR NOT ?

Here's the problem. Ableton wants the best features for their users but 1. they don't have the man power to do it (all the talent went to BitWig) and 2. Gerhard Behles is of the Apple mindset, which means he is VERY careful about adding features to the program. Keeping the program simple is an obses...

Re: Ableton 9: No Comping Features

I respect all your opinions but I don't necessarily care. This is about Track Comping and why it's taking Ableton so long to do it - no programming talent. I'm interested in insights on that.

Re: Ableton 9: No Comping Features

Just don't wonder why Ableton doesn't take the forum seriously. I don't wonder at all, it's perfectly clear to me why they seem to ignore the forum. if the Abes were to speak up there are posters that would be quite rude in the discussion, I've seen it. I completely agree on the lack of unity. ther...

Re: Does Ableton Even Care What People Want?

To add to that, of course they care. The more features they can add without losing the core essence of the program the better. The more people will praise Ableton for being so great. However, it all comes down programmers that can write fast and be innovative with code. Those people, the ones respon...

Re: LIVE 9 you Screwed Me! STILL NO audio comping feature?

Workarounds. Want to use Ableton exclusively, let that word be your mantra.

Ableton lost their programming talent to BitWig - we wont be saying "new" features like track comping for a while.

Re: Ableton 9: No Comping Features

We're here to improve the program. How anyone could argue against that is baffling. it's not what you're doing, it's how you're doing it. your writing style sucks. nobody likes reading someone's whining. ultimately it only works against your cause and people will just ignore you. That's an opinion,...

Re: Ableton 9: No Comping Features

I watched that video, Gerhard speaks a lot of sense in it, to refine what is there. It makes more flow and less work. At that time they were combining Compressor one and Compressor two, and they made the compressor which we have now in Live 8. It's just as powerful, but also quicker to use because ...
