Everybody knows Bitwig does what Live gave up on trying, being a production tool.

Re: Bitwig Studio 1.2 'mind-blowing free update'

the side chain modulation stuff they added for per note control was pretty amazing in the last .1 update, a bit like Plock on my Analog4 What´s this? I use the note expression stuff all the time, is there a way to further control them? I was on about this Note Modulation Device https://www.youtube....

Re: Ableton Vs Bitwig

If they could really get you up to speed with 4 hours of tutorials videos, I would change, but that's impossible. 4h video , ugh. Rather read the manual, much quicker. And coming from Live i found myself quite familiar with the interface immediateley. There's a big advantage in being an established...

Re: MPC with Ableton, sync issue, need help

I gave up on syncing Live to a clock,i run it as master (that´s on windows, maybe it works better with macs).Using a cheap ESI 2in2out interface, 1 for the clock, one for the notes. Incoming notes i receive on a Terrasoniq MIDI One as the esi didn´t like too many notes at the "same" time. ...

Re: MPC with Ableton, sync issue, need help

Sounds like you created a midi feedback loop, check your thru settings in the mpc and live´s tracks.

Edit: If it´s not that, maybe your interface struggles with receiving notes and clock at the same time, mine did (for output) so i had to seperate them, one interface does notes, one clock only.

An instrument rack would be better suited for this. If you really need it in a drum rack please elaborate on what you are trying to do, maybe i can help out.

Re: Setting the key of a sample...

Setting the key in sampler to the key detected allows you to play a C on your keyboard to hear the sample in C (if the detection was correct and your sample has a fundamental frequency)

Be wary of smaller detuning though.

Re: Recording (internal) sounds into Ableton

Check your interface´s driver settings, some of them offer this kind of internal routing. Mine doesn´t (motu), so i just record the analog output back into the system.
