Re: How do you do pitch correction?

I've had Melodyne for years, and the output always sounds a little grainy to me. I'm not even performing massive edits, just fixing slight out of tune notes. If I A/B compare the input and the product I'm always unimpressed. I've followed a bunch of tutorials for tweaking my process but I've never ...

Re: How do you do pitch correction?

First off, Melodyne is the stuff. It's a key tool of mine for polish. Second, I have Vocalsynth and Nectar 3 and can't get their pitch correction effects to sound decent as anything but extreme effects. How are you guys using those? I set them up for the key that the song is in, and they wibble and ...

Re: This VST is not compatible with Live

Fair enough, I just wouldn't waste time suggesting things that people said they had already ruled out. If someone is out to sabotage themselves by lying about what troubleshooting steps they had taken, I'm not sure they really want your help. :) True, but unless you have some parts of the post indi...

Re: This VST is not compatible with Live

I "always" use these phrases to indicate that I've already reduced the possible solutions that people should suggest. :/ That'd be the possible solutions that you'd consider . We say what we think, not what you want. Fair enough, I just wouldn't waste time suggesting things that people said they ha...

Re: This VST is not compatible with Live

it might be a 32 bit vs. 64 bit issue. Leoparde actually said "Waves Central is the newest." and "Everything on my system is 64bit.". Phrases like "everything on my system", 'all the time', 'every time', 'everything', 'all of them'... people throw those in front of PC issues and probing questions a...

Re: How to make more octaves for kontakt instrument?

If it's a multi-sampled instrument, it's limited for a reason (as you seem to be aware of), but if you have access to the samples, you can extend the range of notes that can trigger a sample. Chapter 17 of the Kontakt 5 manual (The Mapping Editor. That said, the Native Instruments forum would be a b...

Re: Bass sound is muffled

I think it could also be if there is an internal oscillator that starts at a given point relative to the playhead, then it could give inconsistent results starting the playhead at different positions. I've had this issue before, it is likely related to the instrument/synth settings. As pottering sai...

Re: Looper & footpedal controller, double tapping the big button

When the loop is stopped, holding the big button clears it, but I don't think there is anyway to configure double-taps in looper. I have a foot controller with dedicated record, play, stop, and clear buttons, but you can reduce those to fewer if you don't have as many buttons available.

Re: Is the Push 2 slide bar supposed to be this insensitive?

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm gonna contact support. I'm 99% sure mine isn't working like it is supposed to nor how it did on Push 1.

Re: Is the Push 2 slide bar supposed to be this insensitive?

If I go too far to the right, it's the same. After trying your suggestion, it seems like it's a very narrow (2mm) area that actually works. It also stops working roughly half an inch from the top and bottom. So, even if my finger is still on the strip the pitch jumps back to center.

Is the Push 2 slide bar supposed to be this insensitive?

I can't tap on it to jump locations in Drum Racks, but I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be able to. I can barely get it to slide, it's useless as an effect modulator. It seems to respond like 20 percent of the time to sliding, sometimes I have to slide it 4 inches to move to the next 16 drum rack pad...

I think you want to do it like this. The first two tracks are just set to receive midi data and send it to the third. The third will contain the actual midi instrument.
