Smaller Loop Region
There are times when I just want to punch in a short section of audio, and I'm limited by the loop region minimum of 1 beat. For the record, I don't want to actually loop very short sections of audio, I just want to be able to record (punch in, punch out) short sections of audio. If you have to disa...

Re: Ableton live support for ARA 2
Actually, how come you're not just using the sample editor function as described in this post?: https://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?t=243182 Seems to me to work like ARA If you need a proper sample editor for doing noise reduction, pop/click removal, etc., then you have to bounce back and forth...

Re: Ableton live support for ARA 2
14 pages in. Is Ableton even listening?
edit: oops! Only 13 pages still. Sorry, Ableton. It's not like there are 14 pages of requests, only 13. As you were.

Re: Thoughts on Note
5. You can add more notes to a clip after you've already recorded some, Note supports overdubbing. Just start playing the notes and use Capture to add them to the current clip. Yeah, I wasn't clear on that. I'm looking for more of a "tap the grid marker to add a note" sort of functionalit...

Thoughts on Note
I understand that Note is not intended to be a portable, full-featured DAW. That said, I have some thoughts I wanted to share. 1. Great idea, Ableton! I was surprised by this announcement. 2. Integration with Live?! Woohoo! 3. Free cloud support!? I expected there to be a charge for this. Bravo! 4. ...

Re: When I turn my track up loud the low frequencies resonate with my speaker. How to stop this?
Maybe resonant frequencies? Try using Operator and set an oscillator to fixed. Then you can sweep through the frequencies with a sine wave on the low end to see if any pitches sound louder. If the speaker/monitor is poorly constructed, I suppose it could be the speaker cabinet resonating. That would...

I saw this when you posted it originally and thought it was really clever. I haven't gotten around to using it yet, but I plan to. Thanks for the tip!

Re: Ableton live support for ARA 2
I can't remember if I signed this yet. So I'm signing it (again?) now. Now that comping is in 11, ARA 2 support is all that's left on my wish list.

Chords in Timeline like Cubase
I don't use Cubase, but this video showing how Melodyne interacts with it made me long for a comparable feature in Live. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7p41tNSwtD8 Now that Live 11 can "know" about keys for midi clips, it seems like expanding that to chords in the timeline could follow. T...

Re: How do you do pitch correction?
I've had Melodyne for years, and the output always sounds a little grainy to me. I'm not even performing massive edits, just fixing slight out of tune notes. If I A/B compare the input and the product I'm always unimpressed. I've followed a bunch of tutorials for tweaking my process but I've never ...

Re: How do you do pitch correction?
First off, Melodyne is the stuff. It's a key tool of mine for polish. Second, I have Vocalsynth and Nectar 3 and can't get their pitch correction effects to sound decent as anything but extreme effects. How are you guys using those? I set them up for the key that the song is in, and they wibble and ...

Re: This VST is not compatible with Live
Fair enough, I just wouldn't waste time suggesting things that people said they had already ruled out. If someone is out to sabotage themselves by lying about what troubleshooting steps they had taken, I'm not sure they really want your help. :) True, but unless you have some parts of the post indi...

Re: This VST is not compatible with Live
I "always" use these phrases to indicate that I've already reduced the possible solutions that people should suggest. :/ That'd be the possible solutions that you'd consider . We say what we think, not what you want. Fair enough, I just wouldn't waste time suggesting things that people sa...

Re: This VST is not compatible with Live
it might be a 32 bit vs. 64 bit issue. Leoparde actually said "Waves Central is the newest." and "Everything on my system is 64bit.". Phrases like "everything on my system", 'all the time', 'every time', 'everything', 'all of them'... people throw those in front of PC ...
