Hi folks, i am no live dj and have to make a hard decision. Which one would fit my needs better? http://www.alesis.com/mastercontrol or http://www.apc40.com i see myself as a producer. I do a lot of recordings and would like to know if live tracking and mixing with the APC 40 would be as comfortable...

1. more shortcut possibilities (i.e. browser windows, vst instruments etc.) 2. more browser windows for better instrument management 3. mouse wheel support 4. the possibility to edit (cut, delete, double etc.) audio tracks in session view ... to consolidate in arrangement is shit! 5. track automatio...

It would be very helpful to have some shortcuts for the browser folders. That would mean a much faster management. Especially if you use a contour design shuttle pro v2 or something like that. Abes, how about the possibility to open vsts and live instruments via simple buttons (shortcuts)? you take a product like this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B0001DBEKG/ref=dp_image_0?ie=UTF8&n=172282&s=electronics then press one shortcut configurated knob for operator, simpler etc...

mpk49 template works fine. but how do i activate the transport field?
